Edirne Meatballs

Edirne köfte (meatball) is created by the well-known Rumelian delight. Both foreign and domestic tourists have long shown great interest in the taste of Edirne köfte which comes from naturally fed young bull and mastery in preparation.

Thyme, black pepper and cumin are added to minced meat and kneaded with thinly sliced onions. Then the mixture is let to rest for twelve hours. With its unique round shape, softness and taste, Edirne köfte is served with onions, tomatoes, fresh green pepper and most importantly with special paste sauce made from red pepper.
